What is JCI?

Junior Chamber International (JCI) is a global nonprofit organization of enterprising young leaders and active citizens, aged 18 to 40, who are united by a shared mission to create positive change in their communities. With a presence in over 100 countries, JCI empowers young people to take initiative, develop leadership skills, and drive impactful projects that address local and global challenges.

JCI VISION

To be the leading global network of young active citizens.

JCI MISSION

To provide development opportunities that empower young people to create positive change.

JCI CREED

We believe:

That faith in God gives meaning and purpose to human life;

That the brotherhood of man transcends the sovereignty of nations;

That economic justice can best be won by free men through free enterprise;

That government should be of laws rather than of men;

That earth’s great treasure lies in human personality;

And that service to humanity is the best work of life.

Leadership Development

At the heart of JCI is the belief that leadership is learned through experience. Members have the opportunity to lead projects, manage teams, and participate in leadership training at the local, national, and international levels. Through hands-on experience, JCI cultivates responsible leaders who are equipped to make informed decisions and inspire others.

Youth Empowerment

JCI empowers youth by creating platforms for them to voice ideas, take action, and drive change. From entrepreneurship programs to public speaking competitions and mentorship initiatives, members are given the tools and support to grow professionally and personally.

In Singapore, JCI has spearheaded initiatives that foster cross-cultural exchange, youth leadership, and civic engagement, strengthening the nation’s social fabric and contributing to global progress.
